Heart Broken for the nth time:(( was the status message of my friend(from my hostel) on yahoo msgr a few days back. Being an IITian and having a girlfriend are conflicting properties. There have been exceptions, a few of them are in my wing. I started thinking why I don't have a girl friend and came up with the following set of reasons...
1. Girls are an endangered species in IIT Madras. Here the sex ratio is 1:40.
2. Don't have friends(girls) for a long period of time say 3-4 years near my home as we kept shifting our home at Hyd.
3. Didn't put fight for a girl outside IIT as I busy enjoying other things at IIT.
I would like end by saying...
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Being an IITian I don't have a GF(girl friend) too...

Another soul left alone on Valentine's day.Life is so much better when you're not thinking about such stuff.You said it yourself , "I was too busy having fun at IIT"
But its really not a problem just with IITians , its the case with any place with a bad sex ratio.I think you're just attributing reasons for not having a girlfriend , take a look at the reasons again ...

Screw V-day , that day is the real culprit here.Its not like you have to fall in love this day else you're some pathetic loser.Relationships don't develop in a single day.So its all you , yes all you .. you need to make the change .. you want a girlfriend ... well get out there and do something about it ....

I don't care about Valentine's day....only thing I am worried about is I will be marrying someone whom I would have met for some 1-2 days....btw this topic came up while I was discussing with one of my friends abt his sister's marriage...its tough on the girl as well as she will be going to a whole ne environment and she has met the ppl only for a few days with whom she is goin stay for the rest of her life...I love being single and ready to mingle.....I never mentioned that I am unhappy that I dont have a GF!

and, as far as I know, u didnt have making girl friends in ur priority list.
and abt the pathetic girls to boys ratio, yeah true, iit lacks in tht, but wat is the fun if we have everything in iit? we get a lot of stuff in iit, which other colleges cant even dream of, so i feel, its not a big miss.
and u still have a lot of time before u get settled, so keep ur fingers crossed ;)
seriously knowing u i dont think finding a girl is a problem.You have never tried as far as i know .I have never seen you trying.If dumb girls turn you off then its going to b tough anyway(and i m quite sure they do).In every field that u have made an effort i have seen u come up with results.IIT,GRE what not... what the fuck man.. u got all u need ... just go hunting if u hav to.
